Hey, Y’all! I’m Amanda and welcome to Fun in the Oven Blog 

: a lifestyle blog centered around my favorite things: fun food, fun drinks, and most importantly the fun times life has to offer.

I’m a Texas girl (born and raised in the South) with a traditional frame of mind, a kooky personality, and a whole LOTTA Sass.

I'm a firm believer that food can bring people together, create lasting memories, and be a satisfyingly FUN adventure. Being a food blogger, on-the-other-hand, can be somewhat challenging, AND I am up for that challenge!! Bring on the food, bring on the photography, bring out some fun writing - I am so there! 
I am in no way a food expert, nor do I claim to be. I am slowly learning the ins and outs of digital photography, and by no means a professional photographer. I DO, however, have a strong passion for creative writing, delicious food, and beautiful photography.So, I decided to start a blog.

I gather a lot of my recipes from multiple sources  (my Momma, Pinterest (ow ow!), The Pioneer Women, Food & Wine Magazine, Grocery Store Publications, other bloggers, the list goes on and on). But two things are for sure - I ALWAYS strive to put my Southern spin on each dish. And let’s not forget, every dish is made with L-O-V-E. heard that

+ I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology 
(therefore by default, I'm reading your thoughts as you read along, no biggie)

 + I have a minor in Horticulture (another HUGE passion of mine)
